The Retrospect Series:

Unreleased songs from when I started writing until a little after I started the label. It is arranged in reverse chronological order. The further down the list you go the younger I get and, in general, the lamer it gets.

Anyways, it's meant to see a trajectory from then to now.

Notes on Vol 4:

This was a lot like time travel because I had access to the master sessions. I dug around through a bunch of unfinished skeletons and these are the ones that had real lyrics and seemed like good ideas. And with so many years distance I could tell what was horrible and I tried to correct it.

98% of the vocals were re-tracked because they were bad, 75% of the live drums were done over the past month or two because I never had a way to record a full kit back then and most of the rhythmic stand ins were bad drum machine samplers.

I’m so far from this form and this technical mindset, its hard to know if I like these songs or if I'm doing this as an archivist. Or was it just because Jacob said I should include everything and I couldn’t say no? Anyways, I know three people that will be very happy about this, that’s enough to do it.
